I’m no college football expert (or NFL expert for that matter) but I watched that final where Hurts got benched and the 2 things that stuck with me from that

1. He seemed genuinely happy that his team won the game, which in the sadly individualistic nature of US team sports really stood out to me

2. The mental toughness to come back from that is huge, like it just cannot be handwaved away, a public embarrassment like that would break so many people, that I really thought it meant something more than ‘the system is QB friendly’ that many people tried to dismiss his Oklahoma season as, it was amazing he was able to go out and perform under the bright lights at all, it said something more about him and his toughness.

All in all it’s made me really happy to see him do so well in the NFL

Hey, easy! My strongest metric is my unofficial 40 yard time.

Shough seems ready for the corporate world. Give your current competitor some bogus chart demonstrating how your efforts increased sales by 35%, take the (NIL) pay hike and jump sides. Do that four times and you're an industry big shot or a Day Two draft pick.

Great series and I'll look forward to the player links post-draft to set my mood for the next few months. Booms or busts!

As a Green Bay resident, I'll be down at the draft Thursday and Friday, possibly Saturday for awhile. I'll look for the chat and maybe drop a note or two. We recognize we'll never have a domed stadium (by choice) or the hotel rooms to host a Super Bowl. The draft is a significant event here, a Titletown throw down. Hope to chat up a few visiting fans from other teams. I believe some events will be held inside the Lambeau bowl; visiting fans will get a good look at the stadium. The sledding hill's snow is long gone so I may amble over to the NFL Experience to get in line for my official 40 yard time. I'm 65; can I run a 6.50 forty? I will not throw, though. Gutekunst can come to my Pro Day for that.
