Watching football more but enjoying it less? The problem may be your brand of coverage.
I’m Mike Tanier and I for the last 20 years I have covered the NFL for The New York Times, Football Outsiders, The Messenger, Bleacher Report, Sports on Earth and many other publications, a few of which are still in business and/or still cover sports. I’m here to bring my unique jambalaya of football analysis directly to my audience because, well, read through that list again.
The Too Deep Zone offers jokes, stats, insights, a historical perspective and a sense of collegiality and community among thoughtful fans seeking more than hot takes and fantasy advice. It’s a place to share your love of the NFL and poke fun of the league’s foibles and bombast.
Let me be your master of ceremonies, your bartender, your cartographer, your dungeon master and your Virgil. Together, we can sail into destiny, closer to the heart of the NFL on a Sunday afternoon.
