Eli = not elite. Missing the last two letters. Case closed

Not remotely close. He combined 3 things:

1. Consistently average to above avg QB play

2. Could absolutely stay on the field - a pretty good quality to have in your QB

3. Two 4-game runs where he played really well against really good competition at the right time to win 2 SBs

Eli has more Super Bowl wins than A-Rodg, the New Jersey Jets, Dan Marino, and all of Europe.

Politics-free works for me! But snarky political humour, evenly distributed, can also work if light-handed. Dana Carvey on his pod with David Spade is perfect at this!

Folks have very, very different measurements of "evenly distributed". (also "light-handed")

Yes. It's a mine field! Mike's navigated it well so far!

I guess the autocorrect was stuck in 2008, Braylon Edwards instead of Martavis Bryant. Or you were just playing 3D chess with old receiver mentions.

“Howie Roseman believes that most clubhouse turmoil can be solved through a liberal application of cash. Roseman, of course, is correct.”

Hell yeah he is. I love watching billionaire team owners lose because they won’t give their GM a blank check or because that GM fails to spend it.

How salty are 49ers fans that they didn't get to surround Purdy with Micah Parsons, Brian Bresee, and, uh, Cole Strange (George Karlaftis)?

What did I miss? I love Mike's snarky political jabs.

There will be jabs, but just jabs, and only if they make some sort of NFL sense. I listen to some podcasts that just derail over politics at the drop of a hat. I have no interest in doing that, nor in doing what some folks with similar politics to me like to do: use a player saying "I like Candidate X" to go on a diatribe about how WRONG that player is or whatever.

If it makes you feel better, I get to write about Norm Van Brocklin again soon.

Not asking for politics, believe me. But your snarkiness is definitely part of the appeal.

Braylonn Edwards? You are slighting Mr Bryant.

There was originially a joke about how they Commanders took Bryant because Braylon was unavailable. Then I rewrote the joke and everything went haywire.
