That thread is a demonstration of the deep and thoughtful personnel co-ordination between senior front office staff.

This is all too funny and too real. The farther you get up some foodchains, the more you realize upper management really doesn't know what they are doing.

Keep on keeping up the standards!!

A similar call with the Seahawks brass would be a bunch of ChatGPT bots talking past each other.

As someone who works with upper management types (not in football but the local school system, as I’m sure Mike can attest have similarities), part of me thinks that this is dumb enough actually be real. Especially the part where MT says “The Standard is the Standard” and people being inspired by that. Hell, I’m surprised my school system hasn’t used that phrase to implement a new curriculum initiative.

This is more KSK than anything the actual KSK guys have written in years - and I mean that as a huge compliment.

Yeah but the Baltimore front office used a PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER so that’s the real issue!

After all those years of Roethlisberger as de facto quarterback/GM, the Steelers don't seem to know how to function without an old, self-obsessed, prickly diva (even by quarterback standards!) quarterback. They tried a *young*, self-obsessed, pricky diva for a couple years and then decided, no, gotta have an old one.

A quote on PFT caught my eye: “My 81-year-old father said that if Aaron Rodgers comes to the Steelers, he will ruin the heart and soul of the team and it will never be the same again." Talk about trying to close the barn door years and years after the horse left.
